This Privacy Policy explains what information Community Supply Link ("CSL," "we," "us," or "our") collects when you visit CommunitySupplyLink.org or interact with our fundraiser, contact links, and future donor, partner, volunteer, and transportation intake forms (collectively, the "Site"), why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights available to you. It should be read together with our Terms of Service and Cookie Policy.
1.Introduction
Community Supply Link is a nonprofit logistics and technology network in startup and organizational development, based in Fruitland, Idaho. The Site is currently a static informational and fundraising website. This policy will be reviewed and updated whenever analytics, donor or partner intake forms, account systems, the Connect Platform, or other new data collection is activated.
2.Who we are
Community Supply Link is the organization responsible for CommunitySupplyLink.org and for the information described in this policy. You can reach us using the contact details in Section 17.
3.Information we collect
Information you provide directly
When you email us at hello@communitysupplylink.org, that message and any information you choose to include — such as your name, organization, and the nature of your inquiry — is sent directly to our team through your own email provider. When donor intake, partner intake, volunteer, and transportation request forms are launched on this Site, this policy will be updated to describe the specific fields collected and how submissions are stored, secured, and routed.
Information collected through the GoFundMe fundraiser
Our Fundraiser section embeds a widget hosted by GoFundMe, Inc. If you choose to donate, your donation amount, payment details, and any information you provide to GoFundMe (such as your name, email address, and an optional message) are collected and processed directly by GoFundMe under GoFundMe's own Privacy Policy, not by Community Supply Link. We do not receive or store your payment-card information. GoFundMe may separately share limited donation details (such as donor name, amount, and message, where you have not selected to give anonymously) with the organizer of the fundraiser.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure logs standard technical data for every request, such as IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and timestamps, for security and operational purposes. This Site does not currently run analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts — see our Cookie Policy for the current, itemized list of cookies and embedded technologies in use.
4.Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK visitors)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, our bases for processing personal data are: your consent (for example, when you choose to donate through the GoFundMe widget or email us); our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functioning website and responding to inquiries; and, where applicable, compliance with a legal obligation.
5.How we use information
Our use of the limited information described above is restricted to:
- Responding to inquiries sent to hello@communitysupplylink.org;
- Operating, maintaining, and securing the Site;
- Understanding fundraiser performance using the summary donation totals GoFundMe makes available to us as the campaign organizer;
- Complying with legal obligations and enforcing our Terms of Service; and
- Once launched, processing donor, partner, volunteer, and transportation-request form submissions for their stated purpose.
We do not use your information for unsolicited marketing.
6.Cookies, embeds & fonts
We use cookies and similar technologies only to the extent described in our Cookie Policy. In summary: this Site itself does not set analytics or advertising cookies. The embedded GoFundMe widget and Google Fonts may load resources from their own servers and are subject to their respective privacy practices.
7.Service providers & disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We rely on a small number of service providers to operate the Site and fundraiser, including our web hosting provider, GoFundMe (for donation processing), and Google Fonts (for typography). We may also disclose information when required by valid legal process, to protect the rights, safety, or property of Community Supply Link or others, or to a successor organization in the event of a reorganization, subject to this policy or a materially similar one.
8.International data transfers
Community Supply Link is based in the United States, and information we collect directly is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection laws than your home jurisdiction. Information you provide directly to GoFundMe is governed by GoFundMe's own privacy practices.
9.How long we keep information
- Emails sent to hello@communitysupplylink.org are retained as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the inquiry and meet recordkeeping obligations, then deleted or archived.
- Donation records are retained by GoFundMe under its own policies; any summary records we keep for accounting or grant-reporting purposes are retained as required for tax and audit purposes.
- Once donor, partner, volunteer, and transportation-request forms are launched, this section will be updated with specific retention periods for each.
10.Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent previously given. To exercise any of these rights regarding information we hold directly, contact us at hello@communitysupplylink.org; we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. Requests about information held by GoFundMe should be directed to GoFundMe.
11.California disclosures
California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Community Supply Link does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
12.Children's privacy
The Site is not directed to, and is not knowingly used by, children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at hello@communitysupplylink.org and we will delete it.
13.Data security
We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the limited data this static Site currently handles, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and reliance on GoFundMe's PCI-compliant payment infrastructure for donations. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14.Breach notification
If we become aware of a security incident affecting personal information we hold directly in a manner requiring notice under applicable law, we will notify affected individuals and any required regulators without undue delay and in accordance with that law.
15.Nonprofit & donation disclosure
Donations made through the embedded GoFundMe widget are processed by GoFundMe as an independent platform, subject to GoFundMe's own terms, privacy policy, and fee structure. Community Supply Link receives donation proceeds and summary donor information (such as name, amount, and any message left, where the donor has not chosen anonymity) from GoFundMe as the campaign organizer.
16.Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Site changes — for example, when donor, partner, volunteer, or transportation-request forms, analytics, or the Connect Platform are introduced. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page; your continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
17.Contact us
Questions about this policy, or about how we handled information you sent us, can go to hello@communitysupplylink.org. For privacy-specific requests — access, correction, deletion, or questions about this policy — note in your message that your inquiry relates to privacy so it can be routed correctly.
